Widely regarded as some of the best bait squid available in New Zealand, the Carol Maree squid are premium locally caught squid sourced right here out of Nelson waters.

Caught using traditional jigging methods, these squid are carefully handled and packed fresh onboard to maintain maximum quality, natural colour and firmness. Unlike lower-grade imported squid, these are premium Kiwi-caught squid with excellent bait toughness, strong scent and proven fish-catching performance.

Once landed, the squid are quickly blast frozen within days in-store to lock in freshness and preserve quality, giving you a premium bait product that performs exceptionally well for snapper, groper, kingfish, tuna and many other target species.
