The new Shimano TAI BUKI Slow Jig Spin Rod is designed from the ground up by the Big Blue and Shimano team NZ to suit Top of the South, New Zealand species and fishing conditions. Powerful, light and sensitive, featuring the new vibrant blue WINN grips, this rod not only provides top-end comfort but also a unique feel, only previously found in custom rod builds. The T45 blank construction, with its internal carbon wrap, is used on industry-leading Toray carbon which creates a light, balanced and crisp action with outstanding blank recovery. The Tai Buki also features Fuji soft touch reel seats and guides to highlight and complete the whole aesthetics and quality of this class-leading rod. When it comes to lure fishing, whether it's dropping Shimano metal lures in the bay or 250gm Dotera lures in the deep, the Big Blue Shimano Tai Buki has it covered.

HAGANE GEAR
With amazing strength and durability, the HAGANE Gear is at the very heart of the reel. X SHIP
X-Ship provides improved gear durability. By supporting the pinion gear on both ends with bearings, the pinion gear maintains precise alignment with the drive gear. This means the gears will stay in the same position under the heaviest loads. The added benefit is that friction between the spool shaft and gear are eliminated. This will enhance the casting performance of the reel with lighter lures, and allow for longer casts.
HAGANE BODY
The HAGANE Body is a metal reel body with high rigidity. The body rigidity and impact resistance virtually eliminates body flexing. The result transforms the angler's actions directly into cranking power. It's efficiency through strength.
SILENT DRIVE
From the fundamental, whole body design to the most intricate parts of the drive train, including the drive gear, wormshaft, wormshaft pin and wormshaft gear, every piece has been carefully reviewed, and the smallest clearance gaps and wobbles have been eliminated to the highest tolerances.
X SHIELD
By providing dependable sealing structures and gaskets at 12 critical locations throughout the reel body, we are able to create a water resistant structure that is highly reliable and durable. Ensuring that it can hold up when used in extreme saltwater conditions
X PROTECT
By combining our water repellent coating and our specially designed, water channeling, labyrinth construction, X-Protect provides high-level water resistance without sacrificing light gear and rotor rotation.
G FREE BODY
G Free Body technology has been developed to shift the reel's center of gravity closer to the rod. By moving the center of gravity closer to the anglers hand position, the G Free Body helps to reduce fatigue and enhance casting comfort.
S A-RB
These bearings have been through the same process as our A-RB bearings, but feature shields on both sides of the bearings that reduce the possibility of salt or sand inhibiting the bearing's rotation.
